About the cottage
At the beginning of 2018 we, Jos and Marleen, renovated this romantic building from 1800 in our attractive inner-garden. The 'Apple Tree Cottage' was born; a beautiful accommodation in our charming city garden on the most iconic canal in Gouda. Since then, over 250 different guests from more than 30 countries have felt at home in our cottage right next to the 'Bramley' apple tree.
If you like charm and privacy, our free-standing romantic building is really something for you. Completely and stylishly furnished with a dining area, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom downstairs, and a living/bedroom on the first floor. We are available to welcome our guests, to show you around and if desired give local tips during your stay.
The Apple Tree Cottage is the perfect getaway in the heart of the historic city center, close to attractions, shops, cafes, and restaurants. Moreover, the accommodation is very suitable for cyclists.

Price: 80-130 euro
The Apple Tree Cottage is a historic 40m2 property dating back to 1800. On the ground floor with historic tiles is a modern fully equipped kitchen, dining table, and a modern bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. On the upper floor, you will find an oak parquet and an open original beamed ceiling with a lovely double bed (1.60m), a sitting area with two comfortable chairs, and smart TV. The cottage is sunny and secluded and has a beautiful view of our attractive inner-city garden (which we share with our guests) and is located in the middle of the historic city center of Gouda.

Breakfast
Breakfast can be made by yourself in the cottage or garden. Otherwise, you can eat out at nice breakfast places nearby.
Wifi
Good wifi in both the cottage and in the garden. Perfect for working and streaming during your stay.
Garden

A lovely garden with a large dining table, lounge area, space for bicycles, and an outdoor kitchen with BBQ.
Base
Fresh towels, bed linen, soap, shampoo, conditioner, fan, mosquito net, hairdryer, etc. are provided.
Multimedia
Smart TV available with Netflix and all channels including FOX sports.
Downstairs has a nice sound system.

Fully equipped private kitchen with combi oven, pans, fridge, and free coffee (nespresso) and tea.
Bicycle rental and storge
Bicycle rental at the cottage for only 7.50 euros per day, and free bicycle storage for your own bikes.
Heating
Electric heating throughout the house and underfloor heating in the bathroom.
Location

10 minutes walk to the station and 3 minutes to the supermarket, shopping street, and the historic market.
Parking
​
Restricted parking on our canal street (15 euro/day) or Q-Park Bolwerk at 250 meters (13 euro per 24h).
Free parking at 10 mins walking.
Extra beds
​
The house is designed for 2 people. We can add a baby bed for free or a futon bed (+15 euro) for a child or third person.
